"BHAGAVAD GITA_as it is - A Religious Book or a Treasure Box ???

As I was born in a Hindu family, I saw every middle aged or old religious people worshiping this holy book but unable to justify the "slokas". The common practice of placing the sacred GITA at home is believed to pave the way to heaven. From my childhood I was always curious to know what was written in this book and why is it getting so much attention from people.
I tried to read it in my home temple, but when my grandma noticed me messing with this holy thing she ordered me to put it in it's place and to pray asking forgiveness for my sin (seriously ??). According to her that was not a book for a little kid. I prayed for my unknown sin and started looking for an wise and old guy nearby who could tell me what was hidden inside that sacred book, but they did disappoint me with some vague explanations. I realized that the new generation doesn't care about this book and the old generation care so much that they avoid touching it.
After hi-school, I purchased this book and started reading it. But lost it within one week and found inside my home temple. Grandma found it laying on my bed, got shocked, sprinkled with water to make it holy again and placed it carefully in her praying center. But enough is enough, I took it out from the temple after praying for my sin I was about to commit and completed reading the book. Yee..!!

Well, this book is a Treasure Box full of valuable life lessons and of course with lots of religious touch. Some of the key points are -
  • Do the right thing regardless of the consequences.
  • How to control emotional turmoil.
  • Don't follow traditions and religion blindfolded.
  • Don't respect people by their age; stupid people grow old too.
  • Importance of surrounding oneself with smart people.
  • Don't just wait to die and go to "Heaven"; create one by yourself, for yourself here on "Earth".
  • How to reduce stress by working without expecting beneficial results.
  • Importance of living in the current moment.
  • Importance of maintaining one's health, what to eat, how to cook.
  • Importance of doing meditation.
  • How to uncover your true-self from "lust" and "ego".
  • How to see the "BIG" picture without pinning our nose in every little thing.

The best thing about this version of the book is that every "sloka" is explained in simple language without adding extra fantasy. You can download the PDF version for FREE from the below Link.
